GUIDED WILDFLOWER WALK ON MAWBRAY BANKS | Join in a pleasant ramble along Mawbray Banks to discover the wildflowers growing in the dune habitat. The walk should last for 1-2 hours. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear and meet at 10.30am at Mawbray Yard car park, off the B5300 at Mawbray village (sea-ward side). All identification books welcome! |

CROSSCANONBY CARR RESERVE WORKDAY | As part of our ongoing management of this Reserve we will be carrying out routine maintenance of the footpaths, boardwalks and woodland areas. Strimming of Milefortlet 21 path may also be included. Please meet on site at 10.30am or on the beach front Car Park on the B5300. All tools will be provided, please bring a packed lunch and suitable clothing. |

VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT And SLIDE SHOW | Come along and meet Graeme Proud, the AONB Volunteer Coordinator, who will give a talk about the work that the volunteer group get involved in within the Solway Coast AONB. With many projects ongoing we are always keen to talk to anyone who is interested in the conservation of this beautiful area. The event will take place in the Solway Coast Discovery Centre, Liddell Street, Silloth, at 2.00pm. |

CROSSCANONBY SALT PANS RESTORATION WORK. | We will be carrying on with the scrub clearance and weed removal in and around the historic salt pans area. All who wish to assist with this task should meet at Crosscanonby Road End Car Park on the B5300 at 10.30am, all tools will be provided. Please bring a packed lunch and suitable clothing. |

BOWNESS-ON-SOLWAY RESERVE 'BRACKEN BASHING' AND RESERVE TOUR | Join the Cumbria WildlifeTrust Reserve Volunteers for a morning of bracken beating on this 'jewel' of a reserve near Bowness-on-Solway. Meet at the reserve at 10.00am. After lunch there will be a guided tour of the reserve with Mike Critchley, Volunteer Reserve Manager. Please bring a packed lunch, and wear suitable clothing and footwear. For further details please phone 016973 44432. |
