Silloth Tourist Information Centre & Shop

The Tourist Information Centre moved from its location on Criffel Street to be housed in the Discovery Centre in April 2005. It is staffed by the two tourist information assistants who are able to answer personal enquiries, accommodation bookings anywhere in the UK, and who can deal with any information the visitor might need.

They have produced free listings of Where to eat, Where to fish, Where to Ride, Where to play golf, and have also produced events leaflets. On the shelves you will find leaflets giving information about the AONB, visitor attractions in the area, Cumbria, the North West, the North East, Scotland and other areas, street plans, accommodation, cinema guides and much more.

Alongside the TIC you can browse the shelves of gifts available, including; children's presents, hand made cards, jewellery, seaside trinkets, DVD's, crafted walking sticks, maps and many more items.

There is also information on the old Carlisle to Silloth Railway and a history of Silloth Airfield.
